Nguyen Ngoc Huan: Bilateral Relations Between Vietnam and Brunei Continue to Strengthen

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Vietnam's defense attaché, stated that Brunei and Vietnam formally established diplomatic relations in 1992. Since then, bilateral relations between the two countries have continuously been strengthened and developed.

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, the defense attaché of Vietnam, made this statement at the reception for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the All-People's National Defense Day.

He said that over the past 30 years, the friendship between the two countries has been continuously strengthened, especially in areas of cooperation such as politics, economics, defense and security, culture, education, tourism, and human exchanges.

In 2019, His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei made an official visit to Vietnam, elevating the relationship between the two countries to a comprehensive partnership.

He mentioned that an increasing number of Vietnamese enterprises are seeking business opportunities in Brunei.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Fook Goi Chun attended the event as the main guest, and the Vietnamese ambassador to Brunei, Tran Anh Vu, was present at the event.
