According to China News Service, the treatment scope covers the injured and their families, students, teachers, and affected members of the public. The aim is to alleviate psychological impact and promote recovery.
Ploy Talay said the government urges the public to pay attention to information from government agencies and reliable news sources, avoid forwarding violent images, videos, or content, and refrain from unnecessarily providing details regarding the perpetrator or criminal methods, so as to minimize the psychological impact of media violence on children and adolescents.
Ploy Talay also requested that parents and teachers cooperate by closely monitoring their children, limiting their exposure to or sharing of violent images and videos, giving children the opportunity to express their feelings, listening with understanding attitudes, avoiding pressing them for details or having them repeatedly recount the events, and observing any abnormal behaviors to prevent the development of negative emotions and psychological effects.
On the 7th, a serious school shooting occurred at a school in Nonthaburi, Thailand. A 14-year-old student opened fire on campus, resulting in multiple casualties among teachers and students.
