Miri Chinese Association Youth Section Organizes 'Mid-Autumn Golden Melodies' Singing Competition

(Miri, 7th) — The Youth Section of the Miri Chinese Association recently held the 'Mid-Autumn Golden Melodies Singing Competition' at Hua Qiao Hotel, which concluded successfully. In his speech, Miri Chinese Association President Zhang Changsheng said that the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the three main Chinese festivals, with the tradition since ancient times of family reunion under the full moon, symbolizing harvest and happiness.
“The moon is especially bright during Mid-Autumn, with music and festivity everywhere. I wish everyone to be as fulfilled, radiant, and beautiful as the full moon on the 15th,” he said.
Youth Section Head Ling Weixiong also gave a speech, saying that in order to promote closer interpersonal exchanges, family harmony, and emotional ties within society, the Mid-Autumn singing competition was organized to express the essence of Mid-Autumn culture. It allows Chinese youth to express longing and best wishes for friends and family through song.
