(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) In preparation for the upcoming 2025-2026 Brunei Super League (BSL), the Referee Department under the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) recently held a "Match Rules Review" course at the association's theater to help referees strengthen their officiating standards.
The course was delivered by FIFA-certified instructor Mohd Adimin, who provided detailed explanations of the latest rule changes and deepened the referees' understanding and application of the rules through video case studies from matches.
The course briefing was attended by the acting supervisor and council members of the Brunei Football Association, as well as representatives and committee members from the Brunei Referees Association (PPBNBD), who jointly witnessed the referees' learning process.
In addition, before the briefing, the referees completed routine fitness tests at the Balakas Balapan Sports Complex, under the supervision of referee association coach Mohd Alizufri and several committee members, to ensure that their physical condition meets the officiating standards.
FABD stated that this training and fitness test aim to ensure that referees are fully prepared to officiate in the Brunei Super League, which kicks off this month, in their best condition.
