(Kuala Belait, 26th) This morning, a group of about 30 board members from the Chung Cheng Hakka Association of Brunei, led by President Li Guiqiang, traveled by car to the Nawi area for a special visit to local board member and respected elder Li Fushun, and to tour his orchard.
Among those accompanying the group were the association’s founding permanent honorary president Cai Zaiyun, permanent honorary advisor Wei Bopo, secretary Luo Xuexian, as well as several other board members. During the visit, Mr. and Mrs. Li Fushun warmly received the delegation, not only hosting a durian feast but also treating everyone to a variety of fresh fruits, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. In addition, Mr. Li Fushun generously donated BND 250 to the Chung Cheng Hakka Association of Brunei as an activity fund to show his support.
This visit not only brought fellow townspeople closer together and enhanced mutual care and communication, but also allowed participants to spend a warm holiday in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, get close to nature, and experience the joy of a fruitful harvest.
Before the end of the event, members of the group selected and purchased various types of durians and fruits, returning with full loads. All expressed that the trip had been fruitful and worthwhile.
