Sam Lee Holds Birthday Concert, Surprises Fans with Special Songs and Perks in Malaysia

Taiwanese singer Sam Lee (Li Shengjie) will be performing in Malaysia this Saturday (21st), the fifth day of Lunar New Year, which also happens to be his birthday. He is highly anticipating his first-ever concert on his birthday, and has thoughtfully prepared special songs and exclusive perks for the fans who celebrate with him. Together, they hope to create unforgettable memories and leave fans with a night that belongs just to them.

On the third day of Lunar New Year (19th), Sam Lee met with Malaysian media and experienced the local tradition of tossing Yee Sang. The organizer, Star Fortress, also thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake to celebrate early with him. He said, “My very first concert was in Malaysia, and the overseas leg of my 10,000-seat world tour also kicked off here. I always hope to share my newest performances, songs, and creations in Malaysia. My solo concert career is truly destined to be tied with Malaysia, thank you everyone for all your amazing blessings.”

Speaking about his first concert on his birthday, he was evidently excited: “It's my first time performing a concert on my birthday, and I'm sure it will be the best memory ever. I'm really touched to be able to celebrate with my fans—thank you for being with me. My concerts are always special; I often see fans moved to tears while listening. Getting to sing love songs on my birthday is such a happy feeling.”

He revealed that there will be a signature original segment in the concert, involving his favorite sport—tennis. He will hit tennis balls from the stage as gifts to the audience. This time, he has prepared five balls and is confident he can hit them all the way to the very last row. However, he also shared a funny story: a fan once got hit by a ball (rather than catching it), ending up with a bump, and was even stopped at immigration the next day because of it.
