Drawing Inspiration from Ministry of Home Affairs’ Cultural Performances, Saifuddin Criticizes Sanusi’s Racial Remarks

The Ministry of Home Affairs held its monthly assembly today, arranging not only a showcase of Malay martial arts but also stirring performances of the 24 Festive Drums and lion dance troupe, demonstrating our country's multiculturalism.

In his speech, Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution also indirectly criticized Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Sanusi for his recent remarks, saying that such racially charged statements would only create division among the people.

It is believed that today's program arrangement by the Ministry of Home Affairs highlights the unique and beautiful diversity of our country.

The Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Registrar of Societies and its Director-General Datuk Mohamad Zulfikar for thoughtfully arranging the above performances to showcase our nation's diversity.

Today's monthly assembly was coordinated by the Registrar of Societies, who invited the University of Malaya Lion Dance Troupe and the Malaysia Dragon and Lion Dance Federation members to perform the 24 Festive Drums and lion dance, which became the highlight of the assembly.
