On the 10th, U.S. President Trump posted on the social media platform “Truth Social” stating that the homeless people in Washington, D.C. must “move out immediately.” The government will provide them with housing, but it will be far from the capital; those who are criminals will be put in prison.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Trump said, “We must take back the capital.” He plans to hold a press conference at the White House on the 11th, which will not only address efforts to combat crime in the capital, but also discuss plans for cleaning and overall renovation of the city.

Trump once again criticized Washington’s Mayor Muriel Bowser for failing to manage the capital well, and reiterated his accusations that the Federal Reserve building’s renovations are a waste of funds.

According to a report by The Washington Post on the 10th, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) unusually dispatched as many as 120 agents to assist D.C. law enforcement agencies in preventing carjackings and violent crime.

Since returning to the White House, Trump has repeatedly criticized the problems of violent crime and homelessness in D.C., blamed the local government for ineffective governance, and has repeatedly advocated for full federal intervention in the management of the District of Columbia.
