(Tehran, 5th) Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported in the early hours of the 5th that after failing to rescue a pilot from a downed warplane, the US military attempted to bomb possible hiding places in Iran to kill him.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the Tasnim report cited an Iranian military source as saying that from the night of the 4th to the early morning of the 5th, the US military sent fighter jets to bomb multiple areas in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, which borders Khuzestan Province. The US has grown desperate in its search for their "second pilot."
The source also claimed that regarding the US rescue of the "first pilot," "the Americans have not told the whole truth."
On April 3, a US Air Force F-15E "Strike Eagle" two-seater fighter jet was shot down over Iran, and both pilots ejected to escape. The US military dispatched rescue planes and helicopters into Khuzestan and other Iranian provinces, rescuing one pilot while the other remains missing. According to foreign media reports, both the United States and Iran are intensifying their search, attempting to find the missing pilot before the other.
