Chinese actress Liu Mei-han gained popularity at the age of 16 with her role as "Yan Lili" in the children's fantasy drama "Balala the Fairies." She later debuted as a singer with a girl group and then returned to acting, starring in popular series like "Daily Life of Qingqing," and "Nightwatcher of the Great Feng Dynasty." Recently, she organized a second-hand market charity event, selling second-hand luxury brand items and tickets. However, some participants discovered counterfeit luxury goods, prompting her to address the issue in a video on the 28th, apologizing with a bow: "I will take full responsibility."

According to Chinese media reports, Liu Mei-han initiated an environmental charity project called the "Idle Circulation Plan," organizing a second-hand market and inviting artists, bloggers, and stylists to participate. The market showcased over 2,000 second-hand luxury, designer items, with tickets priced at 30 RMB (approximately 17 MYR) per person. However, several consumers reported that products like miumiu sweaters, LV bags, and Hermès hats were counterfeit. In response, staff stated that due to the large restocking volume, some second-hand items provided by friends were not strictly verified for authenticity, and they offered full refunds and compensated travel expenses to buyers of counterfeit goods.

Additionally, some consumers criticized the market for high pricing, with regular T-shirts selling for 500 to 800 RMB (approximately 297 to 476 MYR), and second-hand shoes priced at 600 RMB (approximately 357 MYR). Some items had stains, wear, and tear issues, and there were complaints about long queues and crowded conditions at the venue.

Liu Mei-han apologized via a video, expressing that she and her team had seen the unhappy reactions from netizens and bowed deeply, saying "very sorry." She emphasized, "Regardless of the reasons, I feel very sorry and cannot shirk responsibility." She is actively addressing the issues with each buyer and encouraged anyone with concerns to contact the staff. "As the event initiator, I will take full responsibility," she said, bowing again to sincerely apologize.
