(Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th)—The long-anticipated crematorium construction plan has recently made positive progress. Thanks to the enthusiastic donations from kind-hearted people from all walks of life, approximately 650,000 Brunei dollars have been raised so far. However, there is still a significant gap from the total budget of BND 1.62 million. The Construction Committee urges more caring individuals to contribute generously and jointly drive forward the building process of this charitable project.
At 10 a.m. on September 8th, the Brunei Chinese Charity Association held its third board meeting at the Ji De Care Association’s clubhouse, located in the Zhu Zhu Commercial Building, presided over by President Sun Shengli.
During the meeting, a representative from Bao Ling Company gave a detailed introduction to cremation equipment products, and participants conducted in-depth discussions on routine matters related to the project.
Meanwhile, the meeting announced the amount of donations collected so far and provided explanations regarding the full construction process and equipment budget for the crematorium.
After the meeting, the association’s Vice President, Lin Pengguo, hosted a luncheon for all attendees to thank them for their longstanding attention and support of the project. After the meal, the group proceeded to the proposed crematorium construction site for an on-site inspection and held a preliminary discussion on the next steps in the construction plan.
Brunei Chinese Charity Association President Sun Shengli stated that the completion of the crematorium would greatly facilitate local residents in handling funeral matters, marking it as an important civil welfare and charitable initiative. The association calls for continued enthusiastic donations from all sectors of society to jointly promote the early completion and operation of the crematorium.

For those interested in donating or learning more about the project, please contact the association’s president or board members.
