Roslan earned the delegation's first medal of this year's World Games, while Basmah also excelled in the women's Taijiquan and Taijijian events, achieving remarkable results.
In the women's Taijiquan event, Basmah performed steadily, flawlessly completing all required jumping movements, and ultimately took third place with a score of 9.72. In that evening's Taijijian event, due to a balance error, she scored 9.673 points—bringing her total to 19.393 points for both events, ultimately ranking fourth overall. The gold medal was claimed by China (19.522 points), the silver by Singapore (19.430 points), and the bronze by Malaysia (19.410 points). According to World Games regulations, the Taijiquan and Taijijian scores are combined to determine medal winners.
In the men's Nanquan event, Bruneian athlete Lee Han also turned in an impressive performance, displaying power and stability in movements and jumps, scoring 9.74 points and temporarily ranking second. In the evening's Nangun event, he maintained his strong form and scored another 9.74 points — achieving a combined total of 19.456 points, and ultimately claiming the silver medal. The gold medal went to Iran (19.466 points), while the bronze was claimed by the Taipei team (19.430 points).
This year's event brought together top wushu athletes from around the world. The head coach of the Brunei wushu delegation, Li Hui, and coach Zhao Chunjie expressed satisfaction with their athletes' performances, stating that they had fully demonstrated Brunei's strength and potential in wushu.
