●The Bronze Artefact Resembling Labubu is Called 'Danglu'

The artifact is called 'Danglu,' dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC to 476 BC), more than 2,000 years ago. It was unearthed at Runyang Square in Luoyang City and is housed at the Luoyang Archaeological Research Institute.

According to a report by 'Jimu News,' experts explained that 'Lu' is a homonym for 'Lu,' meaning skull. This artifact is a central decoration on a horse's head skull, hence the name 'Danglu.' It was an important horse ornament in ancient times. Regarding the function of 'Danglu,' on one hand, it could be used as a mask, providing some level of protection. On the other hand, it could be used as an ornament, enhancing the beauty and luxury of the horse while highlighting the high status and noble identity of the horse's owner.

According to Luoyang Museum staff, this 'Danglu' is an artifact from the Luoyang Archaeological Research Institute. Its design might resemble Labubu, attracting attention. Currently, it is on display in the 'Zhan Bi Luo Yi' exhibition hall on the second floor of the Luoyang Museum. The exhibition is co-hosted by the Luoyang Museum and the Luoyang Archaeological Research Institute and runs from May to August this year.
