The EU published a counter-tariff list against the US on the 8th, indicating that if US-EU trade negotiations break down, the EU plans to impose retaliatory tariffs on US exports to the EU, including civilian aircraft, automobiles, medical devices, as well as agricultural and alcoholic products.
In an announcement, the European Commission stated that if the ongoing US-EU trade negotiations end without results and the increased US tariffs are not revoked, the EU will impose retaliatory tariffs on US exports to the EU valued at 95 billion euros (approximately 460.7 billion Malaysian ringgit). From now until June 10th of this year, the EU will solicit public opinions on the counter-tariff list.
