Russian presidential press secretary Peskov stated that President Putin is willing to meet with President Trump in Moscow, but the decision lies with the U.S.
He said that Putin's invitation to Trump is still valid, and Putin is ready and willing to meet Trump in Moscow. "Everything depends on Trump's decision."
On August 15, Trump and Putin held a meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, USA. At the joint press conference afterwards, Putin said in English: "Next time in Moscow."
Trump responded at the time, "Interesting proposal," and said, "It could happen."
The meeting between the two did not bring about a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In early September, Trump expressed his "dissatisfaction" with the current situation of the Russia-Ukraine war and stated that he was ready to impose sanctions on Russia.
