Explosive Illegal Sexual Transaction Leads to Ju Haknyeon's Withdrawal from Group; He Faces Up to 1 Year Imprisonment

K-pop boy group THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon was confirmed to have left the group and terminated his contract by the agency on the 18th, and it was initially reported that it might be due to a meeting with former Japanese AV actress Kirara Asuka. However, earlier, Korean media revealed that the real reason for his troubles was his involvement in illegal sexual transactions, prompting the company to swiftly cut ties with him.

According to Korean media outlet "10Asia," multiple sources from the entertainment industry revealed that Ju Haknyeon not only drank with Kirara Asuka but also had sexual relations with her. Furthermore, since Ju Haknyeon paid her a fee, it constitutes an illegal sexual transaction. Insiders also pointed out, "Not only Ju Haknyeon, but a producer formerly affiliated with ONE HUNDRED (THE BOYZ's agency) was also suspended due to controversies related to sexual transactions."

It is reported that ONE HUNDRED confirmed the details of Ju Haknyeon's sexual transaction with Kirara Asuka amid investigations into his private life controversies. Although Ju initially denied the allegations, he ultimately admitted to the facts when confronted with concrete evidence.

Under Article 21 of the South Korean "Act on the Punishment of Sexual Transactions, etc.," individuals engaged in sexual transactions may face up to one year imprisonment or a fine of up to 3 million Korean Won (approximately RM9,268). Furthermore, South Korean nationals are subject to domestic laws for sexual transactions even when performed abroad.

Public letter claims innocence: No illegal actions

After remaining silent for half a day, Ju Haknyeon released a handwritten statement late at night, expressing apologies to fans and those affected by the reports. He admitted to attending a drinking party with friends in the early hours of May 30 and acknowledged being present at the location mentioned in the reports, but emphasized, "Regarding the sexual transactions or any illegal actions mentioned in the reports and rumors, I did not engage in such activities at all."

Ju stated that he is deeply reflecting on his actions and expressed sincere apologies to those who were distressed. However, he did not mention specific details about his withdrawal from the group and contract termination. Meanwhile, his former agency has yet to respond further to the accusations of sexual transactions.

Complete package dating costs in "7-digit range" exposed

The details of Kirara Asuka's arranged dates have previously been revealed by some media. It was reported that a 4-hour "full-package" date costs as much as 4 million Japanese Yen (approximately RM117,000).

According to a 2017 report from "Shukan Ou," a private Facebook group called "Domestic and Overseas Dark Tourism Group" once publicized photos and rates for several actresses, claiming that high spenders could secure private time with them. Notably, Kirara Asuka's fees were the highest, with her 4-hour package advertised at 4 million Japanese Yen, specifying "No limit on times: ns, Location: Tokyo, Service: Full-package." The administrator also claimed it was Kirara Asuka herself handling the arrangements.

The administrator further explained that Kirara Asuka had no 90-minute rate as she was "relatively high-profile" and would not accept any offers below a certain amount, with the minimum being 1 million Japanese Yen (approximately RM29,000). However, at the time, Kirara Asuka's agency responded, stating that they were unaware of any managers advertising meeting arrangements with her and stressed that the quoted rates were inaccurate. They did not clarify the situation for other actresses.
