(Kuching, 7th) Sarawak state government-owned airline Borneo Airways (AirBorneo) today announced the official launch of ticket sales for its round-trip Kuala Lumpur route, marking an important milestone in further strengthening aviation links between Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.
Borneo Airways stated in its press release that the new route will offer two daily round-trip flights, connecting Kuching International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1.
To celebrate the opening of the route, Borneo Airways has launched the “Sarawakku Sayang” special promotional fare, with economy class one-way tickets priced at RM375 and business class one-way tickets at RM736. These prices already include airport tax and fuel surcharges.
Tickets are open for booking starting today, with the inaugural flight on July 20. Passengers can exclusively purchase tickets through the official Borneo Airways website and mobile application.
The company said that tickets are only sold through official booking channels to ensure passengers enjoy officially certified lowest fares, transparent fees, secure transactions, direct customer service, as well as real-time flight and booking updates.
Borneo Airways CEO Megat Adyan stated that opening ticket sales for the Kuala Lumpur route is an important milestone in the development of Borneo Airways and will further strengthen air connectivity between Sarawak, other parts of Malaysia, and international markets.
He said that Kuala Lumpur is an important air gateway connecting domestic and international destinations, further enhancing convenience for passengers traveling domestically and abroad, and creating more opportunities for tourism, trade, investment, and business activities.
