Breaking News! UPS Cargo Plane in US Crashes and Explodes Upon Takeoff

Air Crash Alert! The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that at around 5:15 PM local time on Tuesday, a UPS cargo plane crashed shortly after taking off from Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky.

Online videos show that the plane caught fire during takeoff and then crashed, with huge flames and thick smoke rising from the scene.

In a statement, US courier company UPS disclosed that there were three crew members on board; the FAA stated that at the time of the incident, the cargo plane was flying to Honolulu.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The plane involved was an MD-11F model freighter, manufactured by McDonnell Douglas, a company that merged with Boeing in 1997.
