Liu Dejun, spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, stated that on the 2nd, the Japanese fishing vessel “Suibomaru” illegally entered the territorial waters of China’s Diaoyu Island (referred to as Senkaku Islands by Japan). Chinese coast guard vessels took necessary regulatory measures in accordance with the law and warned and expelled the vessel.
The China Coast Guard emphasized that Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islands are China’s inherent territory, urging the Japanese side to immediately stop all infringement and provocative activities in these waters. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out rights-protection law enforcement activities in the waters around Diaoyu Island, resolutely safeguarding national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
