(Marudi, 14th) In support of educational development and enhancing local community welfare, SaraCarbon proudly announces the distribution of school uniform and shoe vouchers to 338 students from 12 villages within the Marudi Carbon Sink Project area. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure students can adequately prepare for the new academic year during the flood season.

The beneficiaries include kindergarten, primary, and secondary school students, each receiving vouchers for two sets of uniforms and one pair of shoes. The vouchers will be distributed on February 14, 2025, giving the students ample time to prepare before the start of the new term on February 17.

SaraCarbon CEO Lawrence Chia stated that education is the most powerful tool to change the world, and SaraCarbon is firmly committed to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.

He stated that quality education is a fundamental human right that not only helps individuals develop social skills and cultural awareness but also provides the necessary training for future employment. Furthermore, education is the key driving force for positive development in the Marudi community."

He emphasized that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development, and SaraCarbon is dedicated to supporting the communities within the Marudi Carbon Project area. This donation activity not only provides students with the necessary school supplies but also boosts their confidence and fosters a sense of pride as they embark on a new academic year.

Currently, the beneficiaries have been informed to await the vouchers and are advised to make purchases only after receiving them. Meanwhile, SaraCarbon has coordinated with local suppliers to ensure that all beneficiaries can smoothly redeem uniforms and shoes.

This "Back to School" initiative is part of SaraCarbon's ongoing efforts to promote sustainable development and improve community living standards. SaraCarbon will continue to establish long-term partnerships with local stakeholders and explore more ways to empower the next generation through educational and community projects, contributing to the future development of Marudi.
