The Office of the Chief Prosecutor in Istanbul, Turkey, issued a statement on the 7th, announcing arrest warrants for 37 suspects, including Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, accusing them of committing "genocide" and "crimes against humanity" in the Gaza Strip.
According to Xinhua News Agency, these suspects also include some senior officials of the Israeli government. The "Daily Sabah" website, citing the statement, reported that among them are Israeli Defense Minister Gallant, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Zamir, and Minister of National Security Ben-Gvir.
The statement said they are accused of systematically violating human rights in the Gaza Strip and during operations against the "Global Resilience Fleet," with their actions constituting "genocide" and "crimes against humanity."
The statement noted that Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip have caused numerous deaths, severe infrastructure damage, and a humanitarian crisis.
The "Global Resilience Fleet," consisting of dozens of vessels and numerous volunteers from more than 40 countries, set sail in September this year, aiming to break Israel's naval blockade of the Gaza Strip and deliver humanitarian aid including food and medical supplies. However, the Israeli military intercepted all the ships in international waters near Gaza, detained the activists, and deported them in batches. Some activists reported they were abused and insulted by Israeli authorities during their detention.
