(Kuala Lumpur, 19th) A moderate 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 4:06 a.m. on Sunday (April 19).
The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a statement noting that the earthquake’s epicenter was located 67 kilometers west of Nias, Indonesia, at a depth of 18 kilometers.
Nevertheless, the earthquake poses no tsunami threat to our country.
