Jisoo’s Older Brother Accused of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse, Sister-in-law Reveals More Victims

Member Jisoo (Kim Jisoo) of the Korean group "BLACKPINK" has recently been embroiled in controversy after her older brother, Kim Jeong Hoon, was accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a livestreamer. On the 17th, a woman who appears to be his wife came forward to accuse him of domestic violence, sexual assault, and more, even publicly revealing photos of her injuries, which has also dragged Jisoo into the scandal. However, on the 18th, this woman, believed to be Jisoo’s sister-in-law (referred to as Ms. A), posted an Instagram story stating Jisoo was likely unaware of these incidents.

Ms. A wrote in her Instagram story, "The wrong was committed by that person, but I hope everyone doesn’t blame his family as well." She also revealed, "The younger sister probably didn’t know. Honestly, I didn’t even know about the sister at first... Because people kept saying we looked alike, I searched and saw Namu Wiki, that’s how I found out. So please don’t blame her…"

Later, Ms. A posted again, revealing that she had received private messages from those claiming to be victims and would provide further explanation. It appears Ms. A is suggesting there was more than one victim. She also expressed her apology for making the situation escalate and apologized to those unrelated who have been affected. However, she worries that the man might use money to cover up the truth.

Negative news about Kim Jeong Hoon has been surfacing continually. In May last year, a female victim exposed online that Kim Jeong Hoon had secretly recorded their sexual encounter without her consent and later shared the video with friends. He even boasted about recording with other women as well, which left the victim feeling extremely humiliated and fearful. At the time, Kim Jeong Hoon denied the accusation of secretly filming.

Kim Jeong Hoon is the CEO of the Korean infant and child health food company "Biomom," which even won first place at the 2021 Consumer Satisfaction Brand Awards. Previously, when Jisoo launched her personal brand company "BLISSOO," it was established under "Biomom," thus the public viewed her as relying on her brother.

Kim Jeong Hoon previously served in special forces. In May 2019, he married his longtime girlfriend. Guests at the wedding included BLACKPINK members and Super Junior’s Heechul. After the wedding, they had two daughters. Following their divorce, he registered a second marriage with the now 24-year-old Ms. A.
