(Kuala Belait, 29th)—The Kuala Belait Hainan Association held a grand banquet last night in celebration of its 86th anniversary and to honor the elderly. Xiao Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, was invited as the guest of honor and delivered a speech, extending warm congratulations and sincere greetings to all association directors and the wider Hainanese community. The event was graced by many distinguished guests, including Lu Shun Nian, President of the Kuala Belait Chinese Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives from schools and societies, making it a festive occasion.
The atmosphere at the banquet was lively and every seat was filled. A special ceremony was arranged to present gifts to elders, paying tribute and offering blessings to those aged over eighty.

The evening also included a cake-cutting for birthdays, guest-of-honor tributes, and other segments, creating lasting memories for the honorees and symbolizing the continuation and enduring vitality of the association. At the same time, the "Long-term Service Award for Directors" was presented to He Changfei in recognition of his two decades of selfless dedication and perseverance in association affairs.
