(Miri, 7th) The Director of the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Jamri Masran, paid a working visit to the Lutong Fire Station today.
In his speech at the meeting, Jamri Masran stated that firefighters must step out of their comfort zones. Otherwise, they will not feel grateful for what they have and will forget to improve themselves and increase their knowledge.
He said that regardless of their rank, firefighters must always be mentally and physically ready to face challenges. Firefighting knowledge will not progress unless it is put into practice, so firefighters must continually improve their knowledge and service quality.
“Through various tasks and duties, firefighters can enhance their knowledge, skills, and psychological resilience. Therefore, firefighters should seize opportunities to strengthen their capabilities.”
Additionally, Henry, the director of the Lutong Fire Station, expressed his gratitude to the Director for visiting the station. He mentioned that although the station is small, it will fully perform its duties to help the substation achieve its goals.
He stated that the district covered by the station is very large, thus there is a significant shortage of personnel and equipment, and he hopes that the headquarters in Sarawak can provide support promptly.
