Due to Big S's sudden death from flu-related pneumonia, many people are now taking the severity of the flu seriously, with many rushing to get flu vaccines. Netizens have also uncovered that Chinese actress Li Bingbing once had a close brush with death. In 2015, while filming in Australia, Li developed a cold that led to tonsillitis, causing her to have a high fever for over ten days that wouldn’t subside, peaking at 41 degrees, yet the local hospital insisted on not using antibiotics.

Feeling that it was life-threatening if delayed further, Li Bingbing's team and friends managed to secure a flight ticket for the same night. She took three boxes of fever-reducing medicine and flew to Beijing in a wheelchair, heading directly to the emergency room upon landing. The doctors found her tonsils were festering and admitted her for IV treatment. Her fever subsided by the third day, saving her life just in time.

27-year-old Actor Suddenly Dies from Central Nervous System Infection

In addition, a tragic incident occurred in the Chinese entertainment circle as 27-year-old actor Liang Youcheng suddenly died on the second day of the Lunar New Year (January 30) due to a central nervous system infection. Initially, he thought he had a common cold, but his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he passed away alone in the hospital.

Liang Youcheng had appeared in period dramas such as “My Little Princess,” “Tiny Times,” and “The Jungle Book.” His friends posted tributes, sadly stating: “On the second day of the Lunar New Year, you left alone in a cold foreign land, in a cold hospital, amidst the festivities and liveliness, quietly passing away alone.” It is heartbreaking.
