Hubei authorities have issued a notice stating that a former village Party secretary falsely accused and framed the Deputy Director of the Market Supervision Administration to the Central Inspection Team, and was placed in administrative detention for five days.
On Friday (August 23), the official WeChat account "Yi'ai Qingfeng" of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Commission of Huanggang City, Hubei Province, reported five cases of punishing false accusations, including one in which a former village Party secretary surnamed Wang from Wuxue city falsely accused the Deputy Director of the city's Market Supervision Administration of profiting from his position.
The notice pointed out that in June this year, Wang, the former Party branch secretary of Makou Village in Tianzhen Sub-district, Wuxue City, anonymously reported to the Central Inspection Team, the Provincial Inspection Team, and discipline inspection and supervision authorities, multiple times accusing the Deputy Director Hu of the Wuxue Market Supervision Administration of, while serving as a member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Tianzhen "Two-Oriented" Social Circular Economy Pilot Zone, taking advantage of his position managing dust pollution by privately charging a management fee of 800,000 yuan (about 470,000 MYR) through issuing vehicle passes for transport trucks.
However, the Wuxue Discipline Inspection and Supervision Commission's investigation found that Wang's accusations were untrue. His actions stemmed from resentment after Hu refused his request for increased compensation in a demolition project, leading him to fabricate facts with the intent of negatively affecting Hu politically, in reputation, and in cadre appointment. In June, the former village Party secretary was lawfully placed in administrative detention for five days.

The notice stated that since the beginning of this year, the Huanggang discipline inspection and supervision agencies, in conjunction with the Organization Department, Public Security Bureau, Prosecutor's Office, and Courts, have launched a joint campaign to address false accusations and framing, "brandishing the sword" at accusers and "backing those who do their job," creating a clean and upright political environment in this revolutionary old base area.
The notice also said that behaviors involving false accusations and framing disrupt the order of petition reports, waste discipline enforcement and legal resources, and discourage Communist Party members and cadres from taking initiative. Such actions must be firmly investigated and severely punished.
