(Kuala Belait, 10th) – Enforcement officers from the Brunei Ministry of Religious Affairs, Department of Islamic Religious Affairs' Halal Food Control Division, have seized 39.8 kilograms of raw chicken wings that were brought into Brunei without a halal import permit at a residential house in Kuala Belait.
During a recent joint operation with the Customs Department, enforcement personnel discovered these contraband items in a house located in the STKRJ Mumong area of Kuala Belait District.
The raw chicken wings have been confiscated, and the case has been handed over to the Customs Department.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs thanks members of the public for providing information regarding activities related to halal meat.
