Ai Wei Grateful to Chow Yun-fat for Visiting His Wife; Current Condition Prevents Transplant Surgery

Ai Wei's wife, Chen Meiling (Lisa), is in critical condition due to familial genetic polycystic liver and kidneys. It was revealed that Lisa was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to a bacterial infection, and Ai Wei hopes for kind individuals to assist with a live liver donation.

Ai Wei revealed that his wife's condition began to deteriorate 2 months ago, with symptoms of jaundice and edema, requiring emergency hospital admission. She has been hospitalized since mid-March. After making a public plea on May 10, more than ten kind-hearted individuals matching Lisa's blood type offered to help. However, Lisa's severe abdominal fluid accumulation from the bacterial infection required admission to the ICU for daily blood washing and intubation.

Due to liver dysfunction affecting her brain by failing to break down toxins, Lisa is sometimes confused and unaware that she is intubated and hospitalized, even requesting to be discharged for breakfast.

Ai Wei is grateful that the two were able to reconcile and support each other, but unexpectedly, Lisa's will to live has declined recently. Striving to reignite Lisa's fighting spirit, Ai Wei arranged for Miao Qiaowei to help contact Chow Yun-fat, and they visited Lisa together at the hospital at noon on the same day. They planned to run and eat pineapple buns together once she recovers, hoping to rekindle her will to live.
