Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed stated on Tuesday that US President Trump’s '20-point plan' to end the Gaza conflict still has parts that require clarification and negotiation.
He said that what the US proposed is actually a list of 'principles', with 'details to be discussed', and hopes that all parties can 'view this plan constructively and seize the opportunity to end the war.'
He revealed that the mediators have explained to Hamas that the current primary goal is to stop the war, 'Hamas has shown a responsible attitude and has promised to study the plan.'
Qatar is one of the main mediators pushing for a ceasefire negotiation between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
After meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House on the 29th, Trump announced that Netanyahu had agreed to the US '20-point plan', and is awaiting agreement from the Hamas side.
