(Malay Ayer, 29th) The Malay Ayer Chinese Machinery Association, led by President Chen Guancheng, conducted a Qingming memorial ceremony yesterday to honor the great merits of their ancestors and to carry forward the rich and enduring Chinese traditional culture.
In the morning, directors and members gathered at the association hall with reverence, preparing to embark on the tomb-sweeping journey. The event officially commenced in an atmosphere of sincerity, as participants proceeded to the Malay Ayer seaside Chinese cemetery and the Chinese public cemetery, respectfully standing in front of the ancestors’ graves, offering tributes to express admiration and remembrance. Finally, the group arrived at the Tunku Hill Chinese Charitable Public Cemetery, where directors and members completed the final sacred ritual, expressing their deepest sorrow and gratitude to the forebears.
