52-year-old Taiwanese star Liu Genghong has recently profited in China with his fitness image through exercise routines, but on the 28th, it was reported by a magazine that he and Wang Shijun co-founded a restaurant called "Mr. J" and borrowed 7 million New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 990,000 Malaysian Ringgit) from a friend Shi Jinsheng but defaulted on repayment. The court ordered repayment with an additional 5% interest. In response, his wife Wang Wanfei's manager commented.

According to the "Mirror Weekly" report, Liu Genghong borrowed 7 million New Taiwan Dollars as turnover funds due to opening the "J Cafe" with Wang Shijun, and according to the Taipei District Court's verdict, Wang Shijun initially guaranteed repayment of 2 million New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 280,000 Malaysian Ringgit) and later agreed to repay the remaining 5 million New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 710,000 Malaysian Ringgit) in installments. However, the checks signed by Wang Shijun and Liu Genghong all bounced. Later in 2014, both parties agreed to a monthly repayment of 70,000 New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 9,951 Malaysian Ringgit) for a total of 100 installments, but Wang Shijun failed to fulfill this agreement.

Therefore, the court ruled that Wang Shijun and Liu Genghong must pay Shi Jinsheng 7 million New Taiwan Dollars, calculated with an annual interest rate of 5% from August 24, 2022, until the date of repayment. Regarding leaving the debt in Taiwan, Liu Genghong's wife Wang Wanfei's manager only stated that they would not comment on the personal affairs of artists.

Liu Genghong's financial situation has been enigmatic in recent years. Despite the skyrocketing sponsorship fee of him and his wife Wang Wanfei, with a 20-second video priced at 600,000 RMB (approximately 354,000 Malaysian Ringgit), every side venture they engaged in has ended in failure. In 2015, they opened "J Cafe" in Shanghai, but due to displaying many photos of Jay Chou (Jay), they were dissociated by him, though he did not take any further action.
