(Kuala Lumpur, 29th) UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Puad Zarkashi urges UMNO to re-evaluate its role in the Madani government, cautioning not to let one bad apple spoil the whole pot.
In a Facebook post today, he pointed out the recent continuous internal disputes within PKR, including the infighting between former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s former political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador, as well as allegations of two Federal Territories residents committee members collecting protection fees.
He believes that parties within the unity government should condemn PKR for these issues.
He said Anwar appears tough during public events, but chooses to remain silent when controversies erupt within his own party.
For this reason, he calls on UMNO to re-assess its role within the Madani government and cautions not to let one bad apple spoil the whole pot.
Additionally, Puad also urges the PKR Member of Parliament accused by Chan Wen Long of collecting RM9.5 million to come forward and admit their actions, or risk further damaging the image of the government led by Anwar.
“Chan Wen Long has threatened to announce the name of the MP tomorrow.”
