Man Seeks Wife Late at Night, Catches 'Affair' – Uses His Body to Block Car, Gets Injured

Published at Jul 09, 2025 03:59 pm
After his wife failed to return home late at night, a husband grew suspicious and went out to look for her. Unexpectedly, he caught his wife and her 'lover' completely nude in a car, apparently engaging in sexual activity. Outraged, he tried to block the car’s escape with his own body, and ended up being struck and injured. The man involved has now been charged in court, and the case is under trial.

According to The Washington Post, a Singaporean man surnamed Wu noticed his wife had still not come home by the early hours of June 29, so he went searching at the multi-storey car park at Block 278 Compassvale Bow in Sengkang. There, he recognized the private car driven by his wife's 'lover', Chia Hiok Seah (transliteration). Growing suspicious, he began filming while approaching to investigate.

As he got closer, Mr Wu was shocked to find his wife and Chia both fully naked inside the car, apparently in the midst of 'car sex'. He tried to open the car door and demanded the pair get out and explain themselves. Chia, seeing this, attempted to drive away. Mr Wu at one point climbed onto the car's bonnet to block it, but Chia, ignoring his pleas, continued to accelerate, causing Mr Wu to fall off the hood and get injured. He suffered abrasions on his face, hands, knees, and chest, required hospital treatment and surgery, and later reported the matter to the police.

Wife Admits Affair and Files for Divorce

After the case came to light, Mr Wu's wife admitted the extramarital affair and proactively filed for divorce, with procedures now underway. Chia Hiok Seah has been charged with 'reckless act causing harm to others' and 'public nudity'. He denied the first charge and only admitted to the latter. Mr Wu's wife even accompanied Chia to court for the hearing.

Meanwhile, Mr Wu testified in court that, due to the severity of his injuries, he chose to call emergency services for help rather than report to the police at first. He received 14 days of medical leave, needed to return to the hospital for stitches removal and follow-up visits, and is still unable to do strenuous exercise. 'I still have scars on my face, and sometimes feel discomfort when walking,' he stated, estimating full recovery won't happen until October this year.

During the trial, surveillance footage of the incident was played in court, clearly showing Chia and Mr Wu’s wife completely naked in the car, prompting the judge to order a clearing of the courtroom after the footage was shown.

Car Park Highly Concealed, Upper Levels Rarely Used

According to local media, the car park where the incident took place has 7 floors, with some levels quite hidden due to large trees. The rooftop is a sky garden, and upper levels have low occupancy, reportedly making them a frequent rendezvous spot for couples. The case remains under review. During a recess, Mr Wu, his wife, and Chia had a brief encounter outside the courthouse, where Mrs Wu appeared visibly startled upon seeing her husband.
