(Miri, 30th) To promote traditional Chinese culture and enhance member interaction, the Miri Province Guang Hui Zhao Association Women’s Group will hold a "Mid-Autumn Gala and Member Singing Competition" at 5:30 pm on September 16 (Wednesday) at the association’s premises. All members and their families are sincerely invited to participate enthusiastically and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
Preparatory Committee Chairperson Yang Qiulu stated that this year’s event theme is “The Full Moon Brings Reunion, Guang Hui Zhao is One Family,” hoping to strengthen fellowship among villagers during the festive season and create a warm and joyful holiday atmosphere.
Event activities include the member singing competition, lantern riddles, parent-child games, lucky draw, and Mid-Autumn dinner banquet.
The singing competition is open to members, and participating songs must contain the word 'moon.' Accompaniment music (CD, VCD, or Pendrive) may be used. Prizes include Champion, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, three Consolation Prizes, Best Stage Presence Award, and Best Costume Award. All participants will receive a souvenir.
Women’s Group Director Chen Caihong calls on members to actively register for the dinner and singing competition and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
The registration fee for the dinner is RM10 per person (children below 6 years old are free); the singing competition registration fee is RM15 per person. The deadline for registration is September 5, 2026 (Saturday).
