(Singapore, 3rd) Singapore Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong departed for Bangkok, Thailand on Monday (November 3) to pay his respects to the late Thai Queen Mother Sirikit.
The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement on Monday that Mrs. Lee, Ho Ching, as well as officials from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be accompanying him.
Sirikit was the queen consort of the late King Bhumibol of Thailand and the mother of King Vajiralongkorn. She passed away on the night of October 24 at the age of 93.
Her remains are currently lying in state at the Amarindra Vinijaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
