(Kuching, 19th) The Sarawak government will establish an Energy Institute through i-CATS University, creating another new profession in the education field.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari stated that the establishment of this institute aligns with Sarawak’s goal of becoming a leader in renewable energy.
“I would like to provide feedback to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof regarding the teaching of renewable energy.”
“I agree that we will establish an energy-focused institute at i-CATS University, which will involve collaboration with Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) and Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) for teaching at i-CATS.”
The Sarawak Premier made these remarks while speaking at the opening ceremony of the Southern Zone Delegates Conference of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) held today at the Borneo Convention Centre.
