The Syrian opposition has authorized Bashir of the 'Syrian Salvation Government' to form a transitional government in Syria.
The 'Syrian Salvation Government' was established in 2017 with the support of the Syrian opposition armed group 'Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham', and Bashir has been serving as Prime Minister of the 'Syrian Salvation Government' since the beginning of this year.
'Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham' is considered one of the main forces that defeated the Syrian government forces.
Prime Minister Meets with Opposition Armed Leaders
Additionally, Prime Minister Jalali, who remains in the Syrian capital Damascus, stated that most cabinet members are still working and expressed hope for a rapid and smooth power transition.
He said that he has met with opposition armed leader Jolani to discuss cooperation.
In Damascus, the situation is calm. Although most shops and public institutions are still closed, people's lives are gradually returning to normal, with long lines outside bakeries and grain stores. Many Syrians who fled to neighboring countries due to the civil war are also gradually returning home.
