Standard Chartered Donates 89 Pints of Blood to Aid Medical Needs, Collaborates with Community to Meet Blood Demand

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 27th) Standard Chartered Bank Brunei has successfully completed two blood donation drives in June, once again demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the nation’s healthcare needs through voluntary blood donations.

The first blood donation drive was held on June 4, 2026 at Hua Ho Manggis Mall, co-organized by Standard Chartered Bank and the Blood Bank Center. The event received enthusiastic support from bank staff, customers, and the public, uniting their efforts to bolster the national blood supply.

The second donation drive took place on June 23 at the Gadong Branch, jointly organized by Standard Chartered Bank, the Blood Bank Center, and Wisma Hj Taha, continuing the strong community support.

The two events collectively collected 89 pints of blood, providing vital resources for saving lives, supporting medical treatment, and emergency care.

Standard Chartered Bank stated that by hosting these blood donation drives, it aims to foster a culture of active contribution within the company and to encourage more staff to participate in community building and give back to society.

Marilyn Graham, Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank, said that the bank remains dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, and these blood donation initiatives offer a meaningful platform for employees and the public to join hands in supporting key needs of the national healthcare system.

She added that this initiative is also part of the bank’s broader employee volunteerism and community impact program, aligning with its global commitment to driving sustainable and inclusive development in its operating markets.
