On August 4, the signing ceremony for Canton Fair Global Partners was held in Guangzhou. The Malaysian Federation of Sundry Goods Merchants officially joined as a new partner, alongside the State Branch of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service in Mato Grosso and the German Federal Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, joining the Canton Fair Global Partnership network.
At the same time, three organizations—the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nigeria, and the Austrian Chinese Business Association—completed renewal of cooperation agreements. As of now, the Canton Fair has established steady cooperation with 231 overseas institutions from 110 countries and regions worldwide.
This signing comes as the 140th Canton Fair approaches, with 70 days remaining. Su Bin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Center, expressed expectations for future collaboration: First, precise supply and demand matching to ensure effective two-way connections; second, joint construction of a long-term mechanism to deepen routine cooperation; third, deepening industrial synergy and upgrading the level of cooperation.
"Taking the Canton Fair as an important platform, we aim to bring together high-quality enterprises and brand resources from both sides, promoting cooperation from single commodity trade to brand co-creation, joint R&D, and industrial capacity collaboration. This will realize an upgrade from one-time transactions to symbiotic development across the entire chain, forging an even closer community of shared destiny."
Lin Siqun, Head of the International VIP Services Division at the Foreign Liaison Department of the China Foreign Trade Center, introduced: "During the 140th Canton Fair, we will sign over 10 new global cooperation partners. This initiative is a key measure for the Canton Fair to deepen international cooperation, serve multi-channel targeted investment promotion, optimize services across the entire chain, and empower high-efficiency digital operations—a 'trinity' grand investment promotion system. It is also a major effort for the Canton Fair to use trade as a bridge, gather consensus through cooperation, and continuously promote the stable and long-term development of an open world economy."
