The 'F4'—Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vanness Wu, and Ken Chu—who rose to fame through the idol drama 'Meteor Garden,' recently reunited on stage at Mayday’s Arena Concert after twelve years apart. Earlier today (25th), B’in Music released a 7-minute, 38-second F4 reunion behind-the-scenes video on Facebook. The video shows the four of them chatting and laughing backstage, in high spirits. Jerry Yan even jokingly set Vic Chou up, saying: 'Remember to tell the media that Zai Zai (Vic) is in a bad mood today.' When asked how he felt facing fans together after so long, Vic Chou admitted he was surprised by the four-story venue, recalling that they used to only hold events in two-story venues and joked, 'Hope we can borrow this venue again next time.'
As for whether they kept it a secret beforehand, Vanness Wu said he didn’t—his family came to join in and celebrate. Jerry Yan also said he told his family in advance and they attended as well. As for Jerry Yan’s choked-up moment on stage, the others teased that he was probably just hungry. Jerry then confessed that he was actually injured a few days before the performance while filming; an actor he was working with accidentally hit his nose on the beach, causing it to swell and worrying Jerry.
Vic Chou then added that he heard the actor later cried a lot, 'He got down on his knees and apologized to Jerry. Jerry didn’t nod, so he kept kneeling on the beach (as punishment),' which made everyone burst out laughing. Vic also revealed that the four of them were extremely low-key during the earlier rehearsal, waiting until everyone else was done before quietly going on stage to practice. He thanked Ashin (of Mayday) for staying with them until the end, which made everything go smoothly.
