China Develops Mosquito Robot: The Future Battlefield Reconnaissance Expert?

Published at Jul 01, 2025 06:04 pm
China has successfully developed a mosquito-sized bionic robot! Recently, according to "Military Report," the National University of Defense Technology has successfully created a bionic robot the size of a mosquito. These micro devices, which blend biological features with cutting-edge technology, may reshape reconnaissance methods on future battlefields.

Reportedly, miniaturizing a robot to the size of a mosquito is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), materials science, and biomimetics. It presents immense challenges for microchip design and manufacturing processes—the sensors, power units, and control circuits must all be tightly integrated into an extremely small space.

Capable of Paralyzing Enemy Electronic Systems

This robot is only 2 centimeters in length and weighs just 0.3 grams, yet it integrates advanced drone functionalities ranging from flight control to autonomous navigation, environmental sensing, and real-time reconnaissance. Due to its small size and high stealth capability, it can quietly infiltrate battlefields to collect intelligence, acting like an invisible sentry able to evade radar detection, eavesdrop on conversations, and even paralyze enemy electronic systems.

Thanks to its extremely small size, lightweight build, and excellent concealment, this bionic robot is particularly suited for intelligence gathering and other special missions. It can silently infiltrate areas that traditional reconnaissance means find hard to reach and, thanks to its barely detectable nature, accomplish its reconnaissance tasks.
