Landslide in Cisarua, West Bandung, Indonesia: MOFA Confirms No Malaysians Affected

(Kuala Lumpur, 25th) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that no Malaysian citizens were affected by the landslide incident that occurred on Saturday in the Cisarua district of West Bandung, Indonesia.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry said this confirmation was based on the latest information obtained from Indonesian authorities.

“The Ministry confirms that no Malaysian citizens were affected by this incident.”

“The Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta has already contacted student representatives and registered Malaysian citizens in West Bandung, and is maintaining close communication with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain the latest updates on the search and rescue operations.”

The Ministry expresses its deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of those affected by this tragedy and wishes for the smooth progress of the ongoing rescue efforts. The Ministry will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates.
