(Kuching, 30th) The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (Sarawak) has announced that the nationwide retail price of RON95 petrol will increase by 55 sen per liter from September 30 to October 8, reaching RM2.60 per liter.
The retail price of RON97 petrol remains unchanged at RM3.21 per liter. Diesel retail price also remains unchanged—RM2.93 per liter in Peninsular Malaysia and RM2.15 per liter in Sabah and Sarawak.
Meanwhile, the targeted subsidy schemes are still in effect. The BUDI95 retail price remains at RM1.99 per liter, SKPS RON95 at RM2.05 per liter, and SKDS 2.0 diesel at RM2.15 per liter.
The weekly retail fuel prices are determined according to the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, with the government maintaining targeted subsidies to cushion the impact of global oil price fluctuations.
