(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd)—The new clubhouse of the Jide Caring Association, located on the 4th floor of Chuchu Plaza on Jalan Tutong in the capital, held a grand opening ceremony yesterday.
The launching ceremony was witnessed by the association’s president Liu Xiaoyuan, Member of Parliament Chong Jingyi, Brunei Chinese Charity Association president Sun Shengli, Caring Association Caring Ambassador Yang Zhensheng, Vice President Shen Zongxiang, Advisor Shen Renxiang, as well as dozens of members and trainees.
The design of the new clubhouse centers on teaching spaces, featuring an elegant and dignified style aimed at better carrying out social care and service projects.
In his speech, Vice President Shen Zongxiang quoted a famous verse from the Book of Changes: “A family that accumulates goodness is sure to have surplus happiness,” encouraging everyone to actively participate in charitable undertakings and to practice the true meaning of life. He pointed out that since its establishment last September, and with the care from all walks of life and the concerted efforts of all council members and members, the association has already carried out a number of poverty alleviation activities in many counties and districts nationwide. The association not only focuses on material assistance, but also pays attention to the enlightenment of social spiritual civilization and education, improving humanistic qualities and sentiments, which is also reflected in the design principles of the clubhouse’s teaching spaces.
He also expressed gratitude for the strong support from the community, especially to LSL company staff for voluntarily completing decoration work quickly, and to enthusiastic individuals such as Hong Xifu and Zheng Yuwen for their assistance in relocation and establishment. Honghua School also provided venue support when co-organizing the “Culture Classroom,” allowing the courses to be carried out continuously.
It is worth mentioning that the new clubhouse is not limited to use by the association itself, but is also open to other non-profit organizations for public welfare activities and meetings as a way to give back to society.
