TWICE member Sana (Minatozaki Sana) is about to reach a new milestone in her entertainment career. She has confirmed her participation in the Japan-Korea co-produced film “Kitten,” marking not only her first attempt at acting in her 11 years since debut, but also her big screen debut. She will team up with popular Japanese actor Takeru Satoh to play the male and female leads.

According to Korean media reports, Sana recently received the script for the film and has decided to take on the role. The movie is a Japan-Korea joint production project, directed by Kwon Hyuk-chan, who has directed multiple works. Korean production companies CORKS and NPO, together with Japan’s JACON, will collaborate on the production. Filming is expected to take place on location in Japan in the second half of the year, with a Korean crew. The male lead will be played by Takeru Satoh, known as the “Master of Romantic Dramas.” News of the two collaborating immediately drew significant public attention. “JYP Entertainment” also confirmed to Korean media: “Sana will star as the lead.”

Sana debuted in 2015 as a member of TWICE. The group, consisting of nine members, has never had any member changes or departures, and even after more than 10 years retains immense international popularity. In recent years, members have also been actively expanding their individual careers, including activities outside of music, with several, like Dahyun and Jeongyeon, venturing into acting.
