On the 1st, Iranian President Pezeshkian stated in an open letter to the American people that Iran holds no hostility toward ordinary Americans and called on the U.S. public to dispel the fog of war propaganda and reject "manufactured threats."
In his open letter, he questioned whether the United States truly pursues America First or merely acts as an agent for Israel.
He said in the letter that portraying Iran as a threat neither aligns with historical reality nor with current observable facts. This perception is a product of power politics and economic interests, which require the creation of an enemy as a pretext for exerting pressure, maintaining military hegemony, supporting the military-industrial complex, and seeking control over strategic markets.
Pezeshkian stated that attacks on Iran’s critical infrastructure, including energy and industrial facilities, directly target the Iranian people. Such actions not only constitute war crimes, but their consequences also go far beyond Iran’s borders.
