The theme “Conflux” is derived from the word “confluence,” signifying the meeting of two rivers, blending creativity to inspire extraordinary works. From immersive installations to captivating visual designs, the exhibition explores the fusion of advanced technology and creative thinking, shaping the future of entertainment and brand design. Also featured are award-winning masterpieces that have won Rookie Awards and Kancil Awards, showcasing excellent creative prowess.

“We must thank our pillars of support, Mr. Chong Lian Yow and Mr. Gan Lip Boon, our design mentors, for their support and guidance throughout the process,” said group chairperson Cheong Sze Yi at the exhibition's opening ceremony.

“Although we come from different specialties, we collaborate smoothly and work seamlessly together. Like water, we are flexible and adaptable, ready to face various challenges brought by the industry,” added design team leader Gan Zi Yang.

This exhibition presents a range of projects that highlight the latest trends in the industry, such as large immersive installations and interactive art pieces, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in multi-sensory experiences, experiencing the magical collision of technology and art through sight, sound, and touch. The themes of the works cover Malaysia's history, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage, each piece carrying unique concepts and innovative expressions.

In addition, the exhibition features a special interactive game zone, showcasing 2D and 3D games carefully crafted by the graduates. With engaging narratives, dynamic levels, lively characters, and exquisite visual effects, players are provided with an immersive entertainment experience.

“You are not only resilient and independent individuals but also a visionary team. I am proud to be part of your journey,” expressed Mr. Chong Lian Yow, Head of Digital Media Design at The One Academy, to the graduating students.

“Always strive to create extraordinary works. I hope to see you change the world in the future. It’s not easy, but I believe you can do it, even if it means progressing one pixel at a time. Lastly, remember to be a happy designer,” he said.

The Advertising and Graphic Design section showcases the creative communication of products and brands across multiple platforms, exploring the creative concepts behind branding through immersive technology, augmented reality (AR), and short video content. Works include logos, packaging, posters, and publication designs, integrating personalized projects and rebranding ideas, skillfully using distinctive graphics, unique typography, and innovative structural elements.

Mr. Gan Lip Boon, Head of Advertising and Graphic Design at The One Academy, said: “Some things in life need 'confluence' to achieve greater value. Solo efforts are limited; but when people work together, value multiplies. All excellent works create value for society, so always ignite your passion with a purposeful vision.”

The exhibition is now open to the public for free, welcoming art enthusiasts, creative individuals, and the public to this creative feast! These works not only showcase the talent and efforts of young designers but also provide opportunities for close communication for the audience and industry professionals, offering insights into the concepts and creative processes behind the works.
