Korean male star Haha shot to fame across Asia through 'Running Man.' Besides his main career, he also ran a BBQ restaurant as a side business. On the 20th, in a program, he met with Hong Kong dim sum queen Jung Ji Sun, who previously appeared on 'Black and White Chef.' Since opening his BBQ restaurant in 2014, Haha has experienced quite a few ups and downs. He candidly confessed to Jung Ji Sun: “If I can finish pulling out of the restaurant business this time, I really won't do it again, not even if I die.” This revealed his exhaustion and weariness.
Haha further shared his feelings: “I closed down my two directly-run stores. One of them was in Myeong-dong, but not even an ant came by. For a whole two years it couldn’t operate. Thinking about that monthly rent, I cried every day.” He added: “Many of my younger brothers and friends around me have also closed their stores; it’s just too tough.” Now there’s only one branch left, but it barely has any customers as well. Haha said apologetically: “I also feel so sorry toward (business partner) Jong Kook hyung. Every time I say sorry, he always says, ‘What do you have to apologize for?’ which really moves me.” Kim Jong Kook even joked: “I already wrote that money off as lost seven years ago.”
