(Seremban, 21st) Teng Yun Temple joyously celebrates the birthday of Yuanshi Tianzun on the 2nd day of the 11th lunar month in the Yisi year (Gregorian date: December 21, 2025). A grand celebration was held yesterday to express reverence and gratitude to the Heavenly Lord, combined with winter solstice ancestral worship and ceremonies to pray for blessings for the spirits, creating a solemn and meaningful atmosphere.
The temple’s Chairman, board members, advisors, sponsors, priests, and devoted believers invited the deities to descend at 11:00 p.m. (midnight) last night (Saturday), sincerely welcoming the Jade Emperor and the Three Officials & Five Emperors, thereby officially commencing the birthday celebration. This morning (Sunday) at 10:30 a.m., a winter solstice ancestral worship ceremony was held at the Hall of Virtue, to commemorate meritorious ancestors and promote the spirit of filial piety and gratitude. At 11:00 a.m., Xuan Tian Shang Di was respectfully invited to descend and lead disciples to offer birthday congratulations to Yuanshi Tianzun, followed by the Xuan Tian Shang Di Ascends to the Heavenly Court ceremony, praying for peace for the country and its people and for no calamities throughout the seasons. At 5:00 p.m. (the hour of You), the ceremony to reward the five military camps and offer charity to the invisible beings (commonly referred to as "good brothers" and "Old Da Gong") was conducted, demonstrating the compassionate path of saving the world. At 7:00 p.m. (the hour of Xu), the Jade Emperor and the Three Officials & Five Emperors were respectfully sent off, marking the successful conclusion of this birthday celebration.
